As early as the first quarter of 2024, a series of meetings were held between AKCC and DENR – MENRO (Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office) regarding environmental concerns and development along with the establishment of the plant in Brgy. Malbang.

An AKCC PCO (Pollution Control Officer) was appointed and designated to regularly coordinate with these organizations to make sure that all environmental issues are addressed accordingly and definitive programs are integrated into the plant’s operations to protect the community and its resources.

The continuing partnership with DENR-MENRO has been and will continue to be productive as the common objectives are set and expectations are mutually served.
